The 15th Model for FERFRANS
MBS
is a very compact design that threads onto the muzzle brake and contacts
the rifle barrel at a point approximately 2 3/4” to the rear of the gun
muzzle. The Suppressor is 1 1/2” in diameter and is designed to fasten
to the securely attached muzzle brake (MB).
When
the Suppressor is removed from the weapon, the MB is still firmly attached
to the barrel and is a basic part of the weapon capable of firing with
very minimal recoil and muzzle rise. The weight of the Muzzle Brake (MB)
is 2.3 ounces. The length of the Suppressor is 6 7/8”. The length in
front of the muzzle is 4 5/8”.
Each
15th Model for FERFRANS
MBS
has an included muzzle brake and a barrel fitting designed to fit on the
barrel at the rear of the MBS and to provide a shoulder for the MBS to the
center on. The sound attenuation of the 15th Model for FERFRANS
MBS
is 40 dB at 96 feet in front of the weapon. This approximates many actual
measurements made of combat distances. This very compact device attenuates
the sound to a degree that when the weapon is fired in confined areas the
hearing capability of the shooter is not shut down. In the field
environment it will eliminate sound signature thereby concealing the
location of the shooter. Hearing protection is also eliminated. The
device reduce the felt recoil considerably and brought muzzle flash
suppression nearly 100%.
The
FERFRANS
DMR
is a semi-automatic, with a choice of carry handle or flat-top AR-15 rifle
with a free-float, heavy profile, match grade mil-spec chrome lined barrel
that consistently deliver match grade accuracy. Barrel lengths are
available in 16”, 18”, 20”, or 24”. The 2-stage competition
trigger of the DMR
can be adjusted to a feel of 2-3lbs. For accuracy and consistency. The
consistent positive engagement of the barrel extension and the bolt lugs
is due to the FERFRANS
rate reduction system adapted by the FERFRANS
DMR
for accuracy and reliability.
The
FERFRANS
DMR
is equipped with a tactical scope that has an illuminated reticle for low
light shooting capability, fog proof, water proof, operational in any
weather condition, range finding capability, T3 lens coating system that
will eliminate glare and maximize light transmission. A bi-pod is standard
to the DMR
for stability in situations where the SWAT operator will be deployed for
hours during hostage negotiations. |
